Hi, my name is Christopher Kidd. I’m a natural light Photographer in Sacramento, California.
When my parents got me my first disposable film camera as a kid and showed me how to use the flash without being a menace to myself and society, I knew I was destined to become a Photographer. This eventually led to me joining a Photo class and taking pictures in High School with a Nikon N55 paired to a 28-80mm kit lens. Photo journaling the daily life of a teenager consisted of road trips and family gatherings which gave way to my passion of wanting to capture special once in a lifetime moments.
Aside from Photography, I’m an adventure seeker and car guy. I love to travel, try new things, and tinker with my cars. I’m of Filipino and African American descent and have been to the Philippines multiple times. My mom and I would frequently travel to the beautiful city of Davao. I’ve owned a few cars, my first being a 1970 El Camino which I still have and my latest being a Toyota Tacoma TRD PRO.
My intentions as a Photographer is to capture special, timeless moments that recreate the feeling of eating a delicious cupcake. Being able to see a photograph and recall the place it was taken, the scents in the air, the time of day, and people you were with is the experience you can expect. Naturally a warm smile will develop on your face and nostalgia hits similar to a cupcake, the smell of the sweet aroma, a sense of wellbeing and happiness.
